Abstract

Heart rate measurement is an important process in the pain recognition from the video. In this research, a method will be explained, where based on variations in color of reflected light from the facial skin, the heart rate is estimated. Subject’s video is an input to the algorithm. The experiment was conducted in conditions of additional light, when the performance of the algorithm is better compared with situation when there is no additional light.
