Some well-known results concerning the commutativity of prime rings have been improved. Abstract
Our goal in this paper is to initiate a new approach consisting to characterize the commutativity of a factor ring R/P with respect to a prime ideal P of a ring R admits some central valued identities with derivations of R. Some well-known results concerning the commutativity of prime rings have been improved. Moreover we provide examples to show that various restrictions in the hypotheses of our theorems are not superfluous.
