The structure-activity relationships (SAR) of these compounds and their mechanisms of action are discussed, highlighting their potential as therapeutic agents. Furthermore, we discuss the challenges and opportunities associated with the development of calixpyrrole-based agents as effective anticancer and antibacterial drugs. Abstract
The use of calixpyrrole derivatives as potential anticancer and antibacterial agents has recently gained significant attention. We summarise recent advances in the design and production of calixpyrrole-based compounds as well as their biological actions against cancer and bacterial cells, in this overview.
