Abstract
This paper analyses the U.S. rejection of the Scheme for the Rehabilitation of Europe proposed by John Maynard Keynes, one of the British delegates at the Peace Conference in Paris 1919. The Scheme proposed by Keynes is an event that enables one to better understand the various processes involved in the U.S. hegemonic rise and the European decline.
