Abstract. Neopetissius slaterorum O'Donnell, 2001 (Heteroptera: Lygaeoidea: Rhyparochromidae), previously known from Mexico to South America, is reported for the first time in the United States based on specimens collected in Cameron and Hidalgo counties, Texas.
