Among the various potential applications of these versatile systems, organic solar cells (OSCs)/organic photovoltaics (OPVs), have drawn a considerable interest of the research community worldwide in the last decade. In this systematic review article, we have mainly focused to “shade light” onto the recently developed truxene-based architectures useful in OSCs. The authors believe that this review article, on an emerging topic of current era, will be very useful to the researchers working in the arena of organic electronic in general and solar cells in particular. Abstract
