Abstract

Aim: To investigate the diagnostic potential of the miR-200 family for early detection in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Materials & methods: A systematic search was conducted of PubMed, Embase and Web of Science databases to identify studies of the miR-200 family in NSCLC. Sixteen studies meeting the inclusion criteria were included in the analysis with a total of 20 cohorts. Results: The combined sensitivity and specificity reached 73% and 85%, with an area under the curve of 0.83. Notably, miR-200b introduced heterogeneity.
