Abstract

Purpose of review: We summarize the latest evidence regarding the impact of plant-based diets on urological and planetary health to facilitate patient counseling and research regarding dietary intervention.

Recent findings: Studies have highlighted the association of plant-based diets with a lower risk of multiple urological conditions including prostate cancer, erectile dysfunction, benign prostatic hyperplasia, and nephrolithiasis, as well as benefits for planetary health.

Summary: Plant-based diets are associated with numerous benefits that co-promote urological and planetary health.
