Abstract
Herein, we have isolated new 20-membered macrocycles by the simple condensation of α,α-dihalo-β-oxoaldehydes with diaminofurazan in acetonitrile. The interior and exterior sites of these macrocycles comprise hydrogen and halogen bond donor sites, respectively.
