Abstract

The operating principle of a gas installation designed to produce three-component gas mixtures by using static mixing, with the function of separating and purifying helium-3 gas from a CF4 + 3He mixture is described. The process of preparing a three-component gas mixture for further use in single-chamber neutron detectors, as well as the process of helium-3 separation from a mixture of CF4 + 3He and its purification for use in helium neutron counters and for refilling helium neutron detectors, is considered.
