There hasn't been much research done in that field. History and several case studies indicate that this is exceedingly destructive, not just for the person with the disorder but also for society as a whole. The focus of the current research project is to describe and investigate the problem of sexual encounters with corpses and their social repercussions. The paper explores conceivable motives for having sex with the deceased.
