Abstract
The term contraception refers to a set of methods that act with an abortifacient mechanism by altering the physiology of the transport and implantation of the fertilized egg or by causing the elimination of the recently nested embryo. Euphemistically, they are also referred to as interception because they intercept the fertilized egg cell or are even unduly confused with contraceptives.
