Abstract

Numerous recognized and scientifically supported, but at the same time, many alternative solutions and methods – with minimal or no evidence – are known to be used in the investigation and treatment of interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome. In our study, we have revised the available guidelines to clarify which methods have high evidence for establishing the correct diagnosis with the greatest safety and certainty and lead to the alleviation of the complaints of people suffering from chronic bladder pain.
