The structures of the four compounds were elucidated by NMR and HR-ESI–MS analyses. Abstract

The dried and mature seeds of Sinapis alba were investigated. Two undescribed nitrogenous compounds, 3-(4′-hydroxybenzyloxy) pent-4-enenitrile (1), N, N-bis[(4-hydroxyphenyl)methyl] ethyl carbamate (2), together with two new natural products, N-(4-hydroxybenzyl) ethyl carbamate (3), 4-hydroxy-N-(4-hydroxyphenyl)benzeneacetamide (4), were isolated from the Seeds of Sinapis alba.
