This study proposes a detailed definition, attributes, antecedents, consequences, and empirical referents for treatment adherence. Abstract

Purpose: To clarify the meaning of treatment adherence and identify its attributes, antecedents, consequences, and empirical referents.

Design: A concept analysis.
