Wine is a globally appreciated beverage with a remarkably complex chemical composition, including sugars, organic acids, minerals, aromatic compounds, and polyphenols that contribute to the diversity of flavors in wines. Furthermore, it is essential to consider the presence of contaminants such as pesticides, and biogenic amines, among others, which can compromise the safety and authenticity of the wine. Concern for the quality and safety of wines has led analytical chemists to develop advanced sample preparation methods, aligned with green chemistry criteria.
