Abstract
Rational Approximation of Optical Response Functions
The optical response of an illuminated metasurface can be approximated locally by a rational function of the excitation frequency with poles at the complex-valued resonance frequencies. Felix Binkowski and co-workers extend the AAA algorithm, a method for rational approximation, to additionally provide resonance modes and sensitivities, which are important for metasurface design and optimization (see article number 2400584).
