Cellular uptake studies conducted on HaCaT keratinocytes using UHPLC-QqTOF-MS metabolomics demonstrated effective internalization of these compounds, which is crucial for their efficacy as topical agents. Following recent successful results in the search for innovative semi-synthetic cosmeceutical Se-glycoconjugates, the work reported herein explores the development and evaluation of second-generation selenosugar-linked hydroxycinnamic acids as new potential cosmeceutical ingredients.
