Abstract
Tutors are the main actors in the training of future specialists; their roles are not always recognized or valued. Health organizations are responsible for facilitating and acknowledging their work. In this article, we describe a teaching strategy with a methodology based on artistic movements and training content developed by the Family and Community Care Teaching Unit of Asturias during a training day for tutors held in 2022. Art promotes reflection, allows for the exploration of different viewpoints, stimulates creativity, provokes thought, it’s therapeutic, and serves an important social function. In our experience, using artistic movements as teaching resources added value to the training, particularly in the humanities, conveyed enthusiasm and motivation, and fostered a specific training pathway for Family and Community Care tutors.
