Abstract

A technological process for low-temperature hydrolytic polymerization of caprolactam in a melt is being developed, which includes two stages: the synthesis of a prepolymer and the continuous combined drying and demonomerization of the granulate. The first stage of the process was carried out at a temperature of 210–220°C. The synthesized prepolymer samples were studied for the content of low-molecular-weight compounds and relative viscosity.
