We examine the mechanisms of haptic technology and the haptic devices that can replicate the sense of touch, and examine the development of wearable technology that can provide motion tracking through the integration of artificial intelligence. We highlight the potential applications of such technology in the areas of entertainment, commerce, education, training and healthcare.
