Abstract

The Cover Feature shows the first synthesis of azolium porphyrins by electrosynthesis. A ZnII porphyrin was oxidized at its first oxidation potential (see cyclic voltammogram in the bottom right-hand corner) in the presence of the corresponding azole nucleophiles affording the cationic porphyrins with high regioselectivity under very mild conditions. More information can be found in the Research Article by S. Richeter, C. H. Devillers and co-workers.
