Abstract

  • Peripheral neuropathies following thoracic SABR have only rarely been described in the literature.
  • Treatment of left upper lobe tumors in close proximity to the course of the vagal or recurrent laryngeal nerves poses risk of unilateral vocal cord paralysis.
  • The vagal and recurrent laryngeal nerves should be prospectively contoured and constrained when treating tumors in close proximity with high dose SABR.
