Abstract

A counterintuitive optimized dilution effect is unveiled for conjugated polymers in blends. In partially miscible blends, these polymers are more dilute in the majority phase; however, in fully miscible blends, the high miscibility fosters extended chain conformations that undermine dilution. These revelations will inform the design of future generations of polymer light-emitting diodes (e649).
