A NEW COMBINATION OF KNOWN AGENTS FOR TREATMENT OF ALOPECIA AREATA: A CASE-SERIES STUDY.

Abstract

Alopecia Areata is an autoimmune disorder that affects hair follicles and results in non-scarring circumscribed areas of baldness that may be localised or widespread. Actually, we came across many cases with different patterns of hair loss that showed significant improvement after three months duration of treatment with a topical preparation (Freezia cream). The latter was prepared by specialized doctors and pharmacists, and obtained approval from the Iraqi Ministry of Health. Therefore, the current study is a case-series one that showed the presentations of some of these cases and the improvement achieved following treatment with the preparation in question.
