Abstract

In this work, we introduce three notions of dichotomy spectrum based on general growth rates and describe their structure. Our results are applicable to nonautonomous linear systems acting on general Banach spaces having negative μ-index of compactness, a condition which is satisfied, for instance, by any sequence of compact operators. Moreover, for any possible form of the spectra, we present an explicit example exhibiting such spectrum. Furthermore, as an application, we obtain normal forms of certain nonautonomous systems. We emphasize that the classical Sacker-Sell spectrum can be obtained as a very particular case of our setting.

A (μ,ν)-二分谱

The Journal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications presents papers that treat mathematical analysis and its numerous applications. The journal emphasizes articles devoted to the mathematical treatment of questions arising in physics, chemistry, biology, and engineering, particularly those that stress analytical aspects and novel problems and their solutions. Papers are sought which employ one or more of the following areas of classical analysis: • Analytic number theory • Functional analysis and operator theory • Real and harmonic analysis • Complex analysis • Numerical analysis • Applied mathematics • Partial differential equations • Dynamical systems • Control and Optimization • Probability • Mathematical biology • Combinatorics • Mathematical physics.
