Abstract

Selenium-nitrogen exchange (SeNEx) chemistry has been seamlessly integrated with CuAAC. In their Research Article (e202500942), Wei Hou, Wei Zhou, Hongtao Xu et al. report a novel three-component reaction involving benzoselenazolones, alkynes, and azides. This reaction proceeds via a unique SeNEx–CuAAC tandem pathway, providing direct access to diverse 1,4,5-trisubstituted 5-seleno-1,2,3-triazoles regioselectively with high atom economy.
