Among genomic clones, obtained using the polymerase chain reaction to clone the LiP gene LPOA from Phanerochaete chrysosporium strain BKM-F 1767, another LiP gene was found. This gene, HG3, showed more than 95% nucleotide homology to those LiP gene variants which encode LiP isozyme H8. Abstract
Lignin peroxidase (LiP) isozymes of Phanerochaete chrysosporium are encoded by a large family of closely related genes, whose total number is still unknown.
