Abstract

In this study, a new organic light-emitting diode power control algorithm that uses optimal gray-level mapping curve determination is proposed. In general, conventional approaches produce color distortion or they require additional circuits for power reduction, whereas the proposed algorithm only changes the gray levels of an input image by considering the original image quality without additional circuits. In particular, the proposed algorithm generates an objective function after estimating the image degradation and power consumption.
