Conocimientos, actitudes y prácticas frente a la sexualidad en estudiantes admitidos a los programas presenciales diurnos en la Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander

Abstract

Los jovenes inician su vida universitaria en una etapa critica del desarrollo como es la adolescencia, en donde se dan procesos trascendentales que necesitan de una adecuada estructuracion de su sexualidad fundamentada en una educacion sexual orientada al bienestar integral de la persona,  a traves del desarrollo del pensamiento critico, la asertividad,  la autonomia y la toma de decisiones. En este estudio descriptivo, se pretendio valorar los conocimientos, actitudes y practicas de los estudiantes adolescentes frente a la sexualidad,  mediante una encuesta aplicada a 206 universitarios de ambos sexos, en edad promedio de 17 anos, con el fin de generar nueva informacion para otras investigaciones en el area sexual y de igual manera implementar actividades formativas dirigidas al fortalecimiento de comportamientos que permitan una sexualidad responsable,  evitando los vacios de conocimientos sobre formas de contagio para  Virus de Inmunodeficiencia Humana   (VIH) y la utilizacion del preservativo en los diferentes tipos de relaciones sexuales, determinantes que inciden en la salud integral del adolescente. Abstract The young people initiates his university life in a critical stage of the development as he is the adolescents, where there happen transcendental processes that they need from a suitable structure of his sexuality based on a sex education faced to the integral wellbeing of the person, across the development of the critical thought, the assertiveness, the autonomy and the decision making. In this descriptive study, one tried to value the knowledge, attitudes and practices of the adolescent students opposite to the sexuality, by means of a survey applied to 206 university students of both sexes, for age average of 17 years, in order to generate new information for other investigations in the sexual area and of equal way to implement formative activities directed to the strengthening of behaviors that allow a responsible sexuality, avoiding the knowledge gaps on forms of contagion for Virus of Human Immunodeficiency (VIH) and the use of the condom in the different types of sexual, determinant relations that affect in the integral health of the adolescent Keywords:  Adolescence, sexual and reproductive health, practices of risk.
