Abstract
In 1992, a new trade union central was formed in Argentina: the Argentinian Workers' Central. In this article we analyze the modes of political action implemented by this organization between 2007 and 2015. We will research the reasons underlying its breakdown in 2010 and the itineraries followed by its two sections: Autonomous CTA and Workers’ CTA. To do this, we work with various sources, among which are semi-structured interviews conducted to frontline leaders, union documents of public circulation and the informative chronicles published in two national newspapers. We will affirm that political autonomy and the will to organize workers, both union and politically, have marked the evolution of the CTA as a central union.
