Abstract

Spectral efficiency achieved by Spatial Modulation depends on the number of antennas usedat the transmitter. Increasing number of antennas will lead to cost increment and model complexity, this is considered an obstacle towards high data rates and spectral efficiency. Using software-defined radio, a software replacement to this hardware components could be devised by using tunable frequency transceivers instead of hardware antennas.
