Controlling in the healthcare industry This article is primarily aimed at the medical, nursing and therapeutic service providers in rehabilitation facilities. We would like to show you how controlling works and how you can use controlling structures for better processes and better patient care. Controlling is by no means just about ensuring profitability. Rather, modern, “integrated” controlling aims to address aspects from the areas of economy, treatment quality and human resources and to successfully control the core processes, i. e., the patient-related processes, together with the managers.
