Methods: Serum PEDF level was detected by ELISA kit and estradiol E2 level was detected by radioimmunoassay; the effect of estradiol on the PEDF regulation was detected by Western blot; the proliferation of breast cancer cell line MCF-7 was detected by MTT assay. Results: The expression of PEDF was down regulated in breast cancer, and negatively correlated with estradiol E2 level. Estradiol E2 can reduce the expression of PEDF and promote the proliferation of breast cancer cell MCF-7. Abstract
