Abstract

This paper presents a frequency range extended path loss prediction formula based on the measurement results using multiple frequency bands from 0.8 to 8 GHz, where the BS antenna height is lower than the surrounding buildings. Although the lower and narrower frequency bands are assigned to the current cellular/mobile systems, the higher and wider frequency bands should be allocated to the future mobile systems for providing broadband multimedia wireless communications services.
