Abstract

Sacran is a unique polysaccharide isolated from an alga, Aphanothece sacrum(Suizenji-nori)1).The molecular weight is about 29 MDa, which may be the largest molecule in the world as a natural polysaccharide, and the length of one molecular is about 10 mm 1).The molecule is composed of 11 kinds of saccharides, including sulfuric acid and carboxylic acid 2).It has been reported that sacran shows very high water retention compared with hyaluronic acid, because of its unique structure. In addition, we have also reported possibilities that sacran inhibits skin sensitization and reduces allergic reaction due to its permeation into a reconstructed epidermal model which has an immaPossibilities of Sacran-Polyol Complexes in Skin Care ─ Evaluations of Chemical and Physical Aspects─

Sacran是一种独特的多糖,从藻类中分离出来,sacrum(Suizenji-nori)1)。
