Emotional Intelligence can Make a Difference in Students from Communication under the Competency-Based Education Model 在能力本位教育模式下,情绪智力对学生沟通能力的影响

The aim of the current study is to compare the levels of emotional intelligence (EI) in a group of university students from communication, according with the expected competence achievement. Participants were 313 university students (M = 20.20 years old, SD = 2.41; 61% women) enrolled in the School of Communication at a private university in Lima (Peru) which uses the Competency Based Education Model. The EI was measured with the Wong-Law Emotional Intelligence Scale (WLEIS). There were found gender differences in EI, and thus comparative analyses were done separately by gender. Among men, there were no differences between groups in EI (lower level vs. higher level). By contrast, women from the lower level scored higher than women from the higher-level group in: others' emotional appraisal, use of emotion, and EI total score. We suggested to incorporate the EI competence within the UPC educational model.

FlowApp: The development of simulation software in a transdisciplinary education process FlowApp:在跨学科教育过程中开发仿真软件

In this research the synergy between software engineering, education and architecture is promoted from the point of view of transversality in the context of university education, in order to explore the simulation of people's behavior in architectural space. To achieve this objective, a software was developed that evidences the process in which three academic units explore the way in which agents and variables in an environment proposed and controlled by students produces a not only pedagogical and academic model, but another of professional scope, which allows to be a basic instrument for future simulations in the different typologies that the architectural design promotes in its projects, becoming a programmable tool for different architectural problems based on systematizable data of its concrete realities.
本研究在大学教育的背景下,从横向的角度出发,推动软件工程、教育和建筑之间的协同作用,以探索建筑空间中人的行为模拟。为了实现这一目标,开发了一个软件,证明了三个学术单位探索由学生提出和控制的环境中的代理和变量的方式,不仅产生了教学和学术模型,而且还产生了另一个专业范围,这可以成为建筑设计在其项目中促进的不同类型的未来模拟的基本工具。基于其具体现实的系统化数据,成为解决不同建筑问题的可编程工具。

Physical and psychological violence against pregnant women in a district of Callao 卡亚俄一个地区对孕妇的身体和心理暴力

Violence against women is a public health problem. The objective of the study was to determine the frequency of physical and psychological violence in pregnant women. A cross-sectional descriptive study was carried out with pregnant women attended at the Primary Healthcare Center of Mi Peru district located in Callao Region. In total 122 pregnant women participated with a mean age of 26.2 years $SD=6.2$; Range: 14 to 43), 20.5% $(n=25)$ were victims of physical violence at least once in their lifetime and 4.1% $(n=5)$ in the present pregnancy; the psychological violence at least once in their lifetime occurred in 25.4% $(n=31)$, while in the present pregnancy it was reported in 8.2% $(n=10)$. In both types of violence, the aggressor was ex-partner and victim's family, with the equanimous aggressor, motivated by jealousy and issues economical.
