Elementu pasiboen eragina frekuentzia altuko bihurgailuetan

Notable technological advancements in power electronics have been made in the last years, such as SiC and GaN based transistors. Still, power converters based on these technologies cannot be fully exploited due to passive elements becoming the design bottlenecks at high frequencies. This work analyses the impact of passive components in high frequency power converters, mostly focused in magnetic elements. The necessity of an adequate high frequency design methodology is proved by demonstrating various high frequency effects that are not considered in classical design methodologies. At the same time, a short explanation of different design strategies is made. Lastly, the authors explain the importance of adopting a multi-objective based design methodology for power converters.

Zeharkako ebaketa prozesuaren parametroen eragina erresistentzia handiko altzairuzko xafla lodietan

Transversal cutting processes are usually employed for metal coil cutting or precut reduction operations. The final result of a cutting operation, in terms of sheared edge quality and process forces, is dependent on the process parameters and on the material’s behavior. In order to determine the effects of the process parameters, an hydraulic blanking prototype is employed to perform transversal cutting operations on a High Strength Steel plate with 10 mm of thickness. These results will help to understand the force requirements of the process and to meet customers’ sheared edge quality requirements.

Concern for energy saving due to causes such as the depletion of fossil resources or climate change has encouraged the development of different techniques with the aim of energy saving. The maintenance of thermal installations is one of the key tasks to ensure the proper functioning of equipment and systems. For this, the key is to carry out a diagnosis that allows the detection and evaluation of failures. The thermoeconomic diagnosis is a tool capable of identifying the cost increase due to an anomaly in the system. Thus, this paper presents the theoretical bases of a research whose objective is to apply the thermoeconomic diagnosis in the thermal installations of buildings, that is, the description of the thermoeconomic diagnosis and of the experimental installation where the research is going to be carried out.
