Vertical Axis Wind Turbines has been looked upon by researchers as a potential avenue for power generation at domestic level. The Coefficient of Power of Vertical Axis wind Turbine has its limitations mentioned by Betz theory. In this paper three configurations viz one stage, two stage and three stage Wind booster has been designed, modelled and numerically analyzed. A Multistage concept of flaps has been used in wind booster so that wind velocity may increase during each stage. The performance of turbine is assessed by wind booster for Flow velocity, Pressure. For Numerical analysis SST K-epsilon turbulence model has been used. From the analysis it is found that, the two stage wind booster velocity and pressure magnitude range is superior as compared to other two configurations.

Cardiac Arrhythmia is a state within the heart that is caused due to irregular waveforms generated from sinoatrial node. Around 17.3 million people die due o cardiac arrhythmia as indicated by World Health Organization (WHO), the kind of disruptions that is caused by sinoatrial is easily captured in Electrocardiography (ECG) readings; it records in all the disruptions and makes a record in form of images, waveforms, numerical data and categorical data. The noisy data’s collected during a patient examination is recorded in form of a special character to prompt the missing data. With different set of distinct patients having different classes of arrhythmia the ECG easily records in all the arrhythmia class as Y dependent variable’s that is used to pass the collected data from the ECG to the proposed system in the research study, which give’s in an architectural model for detecting arrhythmia with considering a combination of Machine Learning Techniques. Random Forest is mainly used in for feature extraction for the dataset that is trained and tested followed by passing the updated dataset to a combination of different Machine Learning Techniques in order to provide accurate training and testing accuracy results from the dataset received. The use of the proposed model is in hospitals that have huge amount of dataset, with recursive training and testing of the model with the right Machine Learning Algorithm for huge amount of dataset it yields results fast in a short span of time, that can help save several life forms in a very short period of time

Climate change is an inevitable phenomenon that has lead the earth to evolve from an ice age to present era. Due to rise in temperature, rate of Evapotranspiration is increasing that leads to higher rate of maximum event. This raises the need to analyse the watersheds which shows considerable vulnerability towards climate change. SWAT model is chosen to simulate the analysis which is a semi-distributed hydrological model. The model run has been carried out for 35 years where model outputs are compared with the observed values of Evapotranspiration. Model is successfully validated for five years giving NSE as 0.89. Calibrated & Validated model shows that average values of Evapotranspiration & Surface Runoff in mm against 882mm of rainfall are 303mm & 285mm respectively. A Hathmati watershed of western India is taken to demonstrate the work

Noise exposure monitoring is essential to assess noise exposure circumstances and provide a noise control plan to minimize noise exposure problems in the workplace. In Malaysia, occupational noise exposure problems have been increasing, especially in the construction industry. Hence, this study aims to investigate the noise exposure problem in a construction casting yard in Malaysia. The objectives of the study were to measure the current occupational noise exposure problem and to propose a noise control action. Field measurement was carried out at a segmented box girder casting yard under the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) construction project in Selangor, Malaysia. A total of six case studies from four different construction trades had been conducted. This study plotted noise maps and measured personal noise exposure levels for the three construction trades. The results showed that the equivalent sound level exceeded the action level of 85 dBA for these trades. Besides, the bar cutting trade with an 8-hour time-weighted average of 92.3 dBA exceeded the permissible exposure limit of 90 dBA. The noise reduction rating of the hearing protection device was evaluated, and appropriate noise control action was proposed. The proposed noise reduction rating was 32 dBA, so it is expected to reduce the time-weighted average sound level below 80 dBA for this workplace. In conclusion, the results could disseminate to construction workers to raise their risk awareness regarding the noise exposure issue in the workplace. The noise mapping information could also be used for the design of the engineering control to reduce the noise exposure level in the construction workplace.

A BDR (battery discharge regulator) required to keep battery voltage within acceptable limits and improve life of the battery. A converters with greater reliability, high power density, tolerance to any fault, are needed for BDR in space craft power supply. Weinberg converter topology is suitable meet this specification. This topology can be treated as a modified push-pull converter topology with coupled inductor. Use of coupled inductor makes output current of converter is continuous, which reduces the output filter capacitors requirement. In this, working of converter and its main features are explained and also practically implemented the converter and its results are analyzed.

A numerical simulation study was performed on shell and tube configuration for latent heat storage applications where a Phase Change Material “PCM” - N-eicosane -was used to fill the shell side. The effects of smooth tube eccentricity from the shell center were investigated first, two values of eccentricity (ε=0.267, ε=0.533) were compared to the concentric case (ε=0). It was found out that increasing the eccentricity reduces the melting time by 5% and 10% for ε=0.267 and 0.533 respectively. Then the combined effects of eccentricity and attaching fins to the tube within the shell side were investigated for two fin types: straight rectangular fins and flipped triangular fins. The fin addition to the concentric tube reduced the melting time by about 36%, whereas combining the fins - of either type - to the tube of eccentricities of 0.267 and 0.533 reduced the melting by almost 41 % and 48% respectively, when compared to the smooth concentric tube case
