Narrow-band imaging and dual-red imaging facilitate visualization of mucosal vascular structures, which is useful for detecting minor inflammation and predicting relapse because of the capturing of information on incomplete vascular regeneration in patients with UC. Linked-color imaging (LCI) is optimized to emphasize the redness of the mucosa and blood vessels, and is superior for depicting subtle color changes arising from mucosal inflammation. LCI could possibly be used to stratify UC patients with MH on conventional endoscopy.
