The method of classification by the criterion of the subsystem in which the factor is manifested is considered. On the basis of simulation modeling, the influence of the mass of the vehicle, the coefficient of the main movement resistance, the type of control system and the auxiliary power was investigated. The change of the specific energy consumption on the bus of traction substations is considered as a criterion for the efficiency of regenerative braking.
