This paper focuses on the basic ideas of the courseware design and development, such as the elements of teaching system, the design of system architecture, the analysis and selection of system development tool software, and the key technologies and their implementation in systems development. Finally this paper discusses the application of CAI Courseware System in Engineering Mechanics, and the experiences in the teaching process. Development and Application of Multimedia CAI Courseware in Engineering Mechanics Course
