The reactance of the magnetizing circuit is very much nonlinear in nature. It changes on the variation of load or type of operation like motoring operation or generating operation. This paper presents the iterative method to calculate the reactance of magnetization curve and then comparison is made for the performance of machines with three different magnetic materials for the magnetic circuit.
