El síndrome de Burnout en supervisados en Terapia Dialéctica Conductual: Una revisión de literatura
This literature review examined the findings about the Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) supervisor’s role on the supervisees’ burnout with the goal of guiding future research about clinical supervision methods. This article evaluates protective factors of DBT individual and group supervision as a tool for managing the burnout of different types of mental health providers. The individual modality trains the therapists on how to manage clients categorized as challenging. On the other hand, group modality propitiates a balancing environment between the personal (validation and success perception) and the professional (less stigma and apathy). Finally, we suggest future areas to research as we found a very limited availability of Iberoamerican research conducted about this topic; with this, we urge researchers from Spain and Latinoamerica to provider their research contribution.
