It begins with the issue of partriachy in first-generation Indian immigrants‘ family in United States. This paper tries to bring out the issue of how IndianAmerican women can cope with the trauma healing and finally were able to reconcile with their past and successfully made resilience with their trauma. Resilience is the process of adapting well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats or significant sources of stress — such as family and relationship problems, serious health problems or workplace and financial stressors.
