Although a triangular mesh is a polyhedral representation of the object, the number of faces is too large to allow a practical application of existing approaches for polyhedral objects, and therefore some search procedure have to be applied. In the proposed approach the search of contact points is done looking for points directly on the object boundary instead of on the wrench space. In this way, all the object surface is homogeneously considered, while the quality is evaluated in the wrench space. The procedure iteratively looks, using heuristic criteria, for sets of points that improve the quality. 摘要

本文研究了三角形网格模型的形合夹具的求解问题,并以物体在任意方向上所能抵抗的最大扳手作为质量度量。虽然三角形网格是对象的多面体表示,但由于面数太大,现有的多面体对象方法无法实际应用,因此必须应用一些搜索程序。在该方法中,接触点的搜索是直接在物体边界上查找点,而不是在扳手空间上查找点。这样可以均匀地考虑所有物体表面,同时在扳手空间中评估质量。该过程使用启发式标准迭代地寻找提高质量的点集。文中给出了该程序的实现,并给出了一些应用实例来说明其性能。
