Comparative study of motion estimation methods for spatio-temporal interpolation
In this paper, a comparative study of the motion estimation methods in image sequences is presented. These methods are used with the aim to obtain the movement information as a dense field of movement vectors. This information can be used after that spatio-temporal interpolation of image sequences. The considerations regarding the particularities of the motion estimation methods, as well as their disadvantages and some alternative solutions will be presented.
