As with any organization, the waste generated in mechanical workshops must also be managed in such a way that environmentally appropriate management is guaranteed. Thus, the present study aims to develop a proposal for a solid waste management plan for a mechanical workshop. For this purpose, current regulations were consulted and a diagnosis of the current situation of waste management in the workshop was made. It was found that, although the waste already has a disposal considered partially adequate, the company is not registered in the National Information System on Solid Waste Management (SINIR), so that its waste is collected and transported without due process. cool. Thus, the company was registered in SINIR, as well as the other necessary documents were created. Future improvements were proposed, and the company was willing to implement the changes.
