Multiple Regions Image Scrambling Combined to HDR JPEG Compression
paper presents a security service for High Dynamic Rang (HDR) image data sharing. The main idea is to propose a selective scrambling scheme to control the access to multiple sensitive regions in HDR images. The scrambling process is performed in the frequency domain, in conjunction with JPEG- HDR engine. More specifically, the scrambling method is a subfield of an image encryption which consists in permuting the signs of part of quantized DCT coefficients using a sequence of pseudo-random numbers. To guarantee a high security level, the Rivest, Shamir and Adleman RSA asymmetric encryption algorithm is used to generate a pair of (public/private) keys. Indeed, a pseudo-random binary sequence is determined based on the public key which will be encrypted using the private one. Experimental results show that our scrambling scheme is able to effectively protect the multiple Region Of Interest (ROI) with negligible decrease of compression performance and low computational resource requirement.
