The S-parameters of each component and the SATA cable assembly are calculated to investigate a better signaling in the high-speed interconnection applications. Each component presents the different frequency characteristics in the insertion loss and reflection loss. But, the printed circuit board degrades substantially the signal fidelity of the assembly.
